The word Theophostic comes from a combination of two Greek words
Theos (God) and Phos (light) created by Dr. Ed Smith.
"Theophostic Prayer is a method of delivering God's healing grace to hurting emotional wounded people. The method is not spiritual in and of itself but rather a vehicle by which God has apparently chosen to minister. Although "all good gifts come down from the Father of lights." The true message is Jesus Christ. He is the hope of the world. He alone can set the captives free. He alone can bind up the broken hearted. Theophostic Prayer is another tool or approach by which Jesus is allowing His Church to participate with Him in the Divine plan of redemption and grace."
